We usually focus on shutting down the real monks, smiters are just a pain in the ass cause they lenghten what should be a really quick fight.

If your want the skills [Smite Hex][Smite Condition][Reversal Of Damage][Castigation Signet][Bane Signet][Signet Of Judgement][Optional][Optional]
The optionals could be resses, some kind of energy management, more smites, or whatever.

Ok, so what do you use as shutdown for enemy monks? And when it's pure for enemy monks, why dont take 2 mesmers then?

@subarucar i know this basic yes, but sig of judgement isnt used on all builds, i've seen corrupt enchantment and tease too. I'm looking for those variants.

Thanks

the smite heroes are just a nuisance, norgu with the fast cast weapons is way more annoying in my opinion.

One mesmer is more than enough to shut down defense.
Have your mesmer stay on the enemy prot (shame, diversion, rend) and the heal monk won't be able to keep up with your damage output. You don't need to have both monks out of the game to get a kill. Against smiteway, you don't need to shut down smiters. They help with some damage output and condi/hex removal, but pure monks are your priority target to shut down before smiteway damage output makes you collapse.

Like all heroway builds, they will fall under great pressure as the heros tend to ball up together and become an easy target for AOE damage. You just need to apply the right amount of pressure at the right time, and these team will easily crumble. This includes good coordiation between your disruption/shutdown midlines (Mes, Ranger), as well as your frontlines constantly applying pressure. The smite monks are good, but they can't keep it up forever.

On a side note, I find the FC Tease/Weapon Mesmer heroes much more annoying.

Interrupts on heroes need some kind of reworking; absolutely senseless to get teased regularly on 1/4 cast spells.

That's not really what i ment :P In your first post you were talking about that you use those two monks for shutting down enemie monks. But what builds do you use on these 2 then?

No, in my first post I said we don't focus too much on enemy's smite monks to beat smiteway but rather on the 'real' monks. I never ran a smiteway so I guess the build on pvxwiki is correct. Check that link to see what smite monks usually bring.

if you couldn't put 2 & 2 together, the point of the ORIGINAL thread was the discussion of the OPenis (opps, OP'ness) of dual smite heroes and their ability to just be tacked on to any pressure based team and make it decent in the hands of non-retarded players.

that's cool if you want +1 post counts (kind of like this reply) and shit dawg, just next time learn to search and scroll before posting repeats homie.

1. Their are Many, many variants, these skills are just the basic, and in that thread they're talking about enchantment removal too. But how 'bout the elites? 2 x SoJ , i've seen more than that. I would like to know the variants. Now the basic...

2. Oh, so you are talking about me getting my posts up? Lol, please go to the original thread, and look for your second post :

humm elites variants : rip enchant/ rend enchant and Corrupt OR Tease + some interrupts for e management like pdrain and leech sig. Ive seen GANK (zD now?) run another version, though, with BIP and PnH (looked more of support monks than smites but yeh).
